Sofrito Green Beans

This is one of my favorite ways to get more vegetables in my diet! It’s a great side dish.

Prep: 5 minutes

Cook: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound green beans
  • 1 cup sofrito
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil 

Equipment 

  • Sauté pan
  • Wok or large saucepan

Instructions

  1. Toast almonds in olive oil in a sauté pan until golden brown at the edges
  2. In a wok or large sauce pan, toss the green beans in sofrito until they are softened
  3. To serve, top the green beans with toasted almonds
